Custom online shop and back office
Start a projectA bespoke online shop and its own admin back office, built for a catalogue where products differ by material and finish rather than by the size and colour a hosted platform expects.
A retailer whose products vary by material and finish runs into the same wall on every hosted shop platform. The catalogue is built around size and colour, and anything else becomes a text label stuck onto a variant. Once that happens, filtering stops being reliable, you cannot merchandise by the thing customers actually choose on, and the storefront cannot present the range the way the business thinks about it. Meanwhile the platform charges monthly and takes a share of every order, and the checkout can only be changed as far as the platform lets you change it.
We made product attributes real. Colour and material are proper entities with their own data and their own endpoints, not free text hanging off a variant, so the shop can filter, merchandise and report on the thing customers actually choose on.
We built our own checkout as its own state layer, so the flow follows how the business sells rather than a template, and ran all money through a decimal-safe currency library so totals, discounts and tax do not drift into rounding errors once volume picks up.
We made the store multilingual, detecting the visitor's language and switching to it, so the same catalogue serves more than one market without a second site to maintain.
Then we built the client's side of it: a separate dashboard for categories, products and orders with its own reporting, and transactional emails written as proper templates and rendered on the server, so an order confirmation looks like the brand instead of a default receipt.
The client got a shop that describes their range the way they actually sell it, with no platform fee and no cut taken from each order, and a back office their own team runs without needing us.
