Flooring store with 3D room views
Start a projectAn online flooring store where shoppers can preview floors inside a realistic 3D room before they buy.
Flooring is hard to sell online because a small swatch on a screen tells you almost nothing about how a floor will actually look across a whole room. The client needed a store that let people browse products and see them applied to a 3D space, so the decision felt closer to seeing it in person. That meant pairing a normal shopping experience with real-time 3D, which is far more demanding than a standard product page.
We worked alongside a European 3D partner so the heavy real-time rendering was handled by specialists, while we built the store, the product catalogue, and the experience around it. That split let each side focus on what it does best and kept the whole thing dependable.
On the commerce side we built the product browsing, filtering, and cart flow so picking a floor felt simple and familiar. The 3D room view was wired into the catalogue so the material a shopper selected was the material they saw rendered on the floor.
We paid close attention to performance and to graceful fallbacks, since 3D in the browser can be heavy. The goal was a viewer that loads, responds, and stays smooth on everyday devices, not just high-end machines.
The client received a working flooring store with an integrated 3D room view that makes the buying decision feel more tangible than a flat photo. The studio scoped it, built it, shipped it on time, and handed over a codebase the client owns.
